Live Free or Die Hard is an American action movie . The story is set in Washington D.C. The director is Len Wiseman.

In the main plot McClane (Bruce Willis) is fighting a gang of cyber terrorists who plan to hack FBI computers.

After a FBI computer outage, the FBI orders detective John McClane to collect Matthew “Matt” Farrell (Justin Long) because he's one of eight known Hacker. At Matthew's home, a group of killer tries to kill him. After that McClane and Matthew run away to Washington D.C. Subsequently Mathew explains McClane he had written a part of a security code for much money by Mai Linth (Maggie Q). Now Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) oders his hackers to take control of the public grids and stock market. This calls Mathew as the start of a “fire sale”. Next, McClane and Matthew are taken by police escorts to the FBI headquarters, but Gabriel's hackers direct them, using the controlled grids, to a helicopter which attacks them. After that, the two drive to a utility superstation to West Virginia. They find a team of Mai breaking into the station's controls. So, McClane kills the team including Mai. After the station explodes, the complete East Coast is without power. So Matthew directs McClane to another hacker, Frederick “Warlock” Kaludis (Kevin Smith), in Baltimore. There they experience that Gabriel want to download all personal and financial data of the whole USA.

Lastly Gabriel kidnaps McClane's daughter Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)...

The screenplay is good and in the movie there are enough explosions and murders for a good action movie,

but its not as successful as the previous parts of this movie. The actors play their roles very great,

especially Timothy Olyphant and Bruce Willis plays their roles perfectly. In Addition, the sounds are good but the special effects are averagely. On the one hand this is definitely a good film for fans of this film series and a lot of action fans but on the other hand this movie don't fulfil the highest expectations.
