I am a major zombie fan and when I first heard about The Walking Dead back in 2010, I was instantly drawn to it. I watched the trailer and I had nervous break-downs. When October 31st 2010 came, I watched the season premier...and it didn't disappoint. The first episode got me hooked into the series. And the fact that the first episode was written for the screen and directed by major film director Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Mist) and produced by massive film producer Gale Anne Hurd (Terminator, Aliens, The Incredible Hulk)I was ecstatic and I waited week by week to see all episodes. It was the highlight of my week and then when the finale had finished, I was satisfied with the season but sad that it was only six episodes. Although I was pleased to hear not too long after that AMC has renewed the series for a second season but with an extended season of 13 episodes! But what really made this TV series more better than any zombie films was the fact that it focused on the characters and how they dealt with the problems they were placed in. It wasn't just about living day-to-day killing zombies with no reason. Although, come on, we all wanted to see it at first, until the characters started to grow on us, and that makes the series even more dramatic because when a main character dies you actually feel sad and try to look ahead at all the episodes without that character and that is such a great atmosphere and that is what a TV programme should make you feel. Overall, Season 2 has finished and I am officially obsessed, with buying the game, comics, novels and soon a magazine I can see Season 1 was a blast, Season 2 was a storm and Season 3 all hell is going to break lose!

I first went to see this film in cinemas when it was first released and I am so glad I did, every single minute of the film was enjoyed and it was shot perfectly. The special effects used throughout the film are made so seamlessly that its hard to spot whether or not its CGI (Computer Generated Images) or practical work. Also throughout the film they're are so many different feelings for it. One minute it could be smooth and calm, then the next your smashed into action. Or it will be a deadly fight with something and it will end with such a great laugh. The film adds a lot of comedy into the film, but it works so well and the film keeps its seriousness through the entire length. The Avengers is such a pay off for the many years of waiting and build up for it from previous Marvel films such as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk. I did only watch the film once, but I will be sure to buy it on Blu-Ray as soon as I can. Because really, the best way to watch a brilliant film such as this is to watch it on Blu-Ray...
