This movie rocked and did not disappoint me at all. I was a little skeptical at first because sequels are generally not as good as thee originals and it has been ten years since the last one. Like i said though, did not disappoint.
Hopefully you have seen the first movie and if not what are you looking at this review for?? Anyways the movie starts off like 7 years or something after the end of the first movie and the brothers and dad are in Ireland when they get news of a priest who was slain in Boston...what sets the bro's off on their trip back to the states is the fact that the murder was set up to look like they did it (pennies and arms crossed). Now they are determined to find out who did the terrible deed and kill them and anyone who had anything to do with the frame job. They acquire a loner on there trip to Boston named Romeo who is just fun to watch, frigging hilarious.
The supporting cast is awesome with Clifton Collins Jr. and Julie Benz and even Peter Fonda. Add them to Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flannery and a special appearance by the Funny Man Roc and you have a kick ass film.
I gave The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day 5 outta 5 stars because my girlfriend and I had a frigging blast watching this movie and it definitely exceeded expectations. Of course it is not as epic as the first but this entry in the franchise is for sure a winner in my books. My favorite scene was the Russian roulette showdown, if you have seen it you know what i am talking about! If not, you better go see the movie then huh?! haha

so this is where all the extra fake blood from halloween went to!
Though most of the gore in this movie is cgi or whatever, there are parts that are quite gross.....and i liked it.
Ninja Assassin is the story of Raizo(Rain) and his battle against the clan that made him who he is now...a freakishly resilient and lethal assassin.
Raizo was brought in as a young boy to train and master the skills it takes to be a true ninja assassin whatever. Through the years in training he grows close to a girl in his group and after something terrible happens to her, Raizo slowly begins to defy his master and eventually breaks free from the clan.
The rest of the story is about a police agent named Mika(Harris)as she tries to solve these murders that center around people hiring these assassin's to do the dirty work. As she enters deeper in the realm of the clan she quickly becomes a target herself as people above her head try to keep the clan a secret.
Soon enough Raizo and Mika are on the run as Raizo's old clan is trying to finish them both off...Raizo for defying the clan and Mika for investigating into the clan.
Of course there is more into the story but that is the main jist of it. Filled with plenty of violence and gore and even more gore, this film will keep you entertained until the credits roll.
I gave Ninja Assassin 4 outta 5 stars because it delivers exactly what you ask for throughout the film. The only downsides i can see now is 1. the amount of cgi blood at times is just comical, and 2. the ending fight sequence kinda makes you scratch your head and say to yourself...really? Other than that if you want to see a action packed gore filled kick ass flick, then this is the perfect one for you. Just dont go if you have a weak stomach. just saying

If you learn anything from this film, it's don't piss off Gerard Butler....because you are gonna pay.
Law Abiding Citizen is the story of Clyde(Butler)reeking havoc upon the legal system after his family is murdered in a home invasion and prosecutor Rice(Foxx) makes a deal with one of the killers without even trying to take it to trial and gets him a short sentence. Clyde sees Rice shaking hands with the killer after the trial and snaps...slowly. After ten years pass and the killer is set free from prison, Clyde brilliant plan begins and it is very fun to watch.
I try not to spoil movies for people in my reviews but I will say this movie is fantastic in pretty much every way and very fun to watch. To me though it just seemed to miss something. Maybe they should have added more detail into how and why these events are happening and maybe showed how they come about, i mean they did show some stuff but the climax seemed rushed and so did the ending.
I gave Law Abiding Citizen 4 outta 5 stars for those simple facts. Don't get me wrong, i really like the movie. I just thought they could have added some things to give the movie more depth.
I will say though if you are squeamish, turn away when Clyde gets a catered meal in prison...just saying. bad ass to me though.

I finally got to see this very hyped up low budget horror flick known as Paranormal Activity and i must say....it was oook.
The film is all footage found by the police(they say)shot all in the hand held format surrounding the events that occur to this seemingly happy couple as they deal with a evil presence that is showing up in their home.
I won't spoil it for anyone, but this is definitely NOT the scariest movie ever....as some claim. It definitely has its moments of suspense when the evil presence shows up in odd ways in the dead of night. The film moves along nicely and i think it ends kind of well, in the wrapping things up sort of way.
What really makes you appreciate Paranormal Activity is the fact that it only cost 11,000 dollars to make it...total. The special effects are great for the budget and you have to give the team behind the film props for that.
I also liked how everyone in the theater kept it absolutely quite mostly throughout the film. That just gave it another element to me, there is usually some obnoxious people in every theater that ruin a movie. So that was cool.
Probably why everyone touts this film as the scariest ever is the fact that this stuff happens while you sleep(mainly, little spoiler)and that it could happen to you. That is really the only thing that you take home from the movie that creeps you out. Can't wait to get to bed....yeah right.
All in all i gave Paranormal Activity 4 outta 5 stars because i am not a fan of the whole movie being shot in hand held form but i was impressed with what was showcased on such a small budget and how big this movie has and will become with mainly word of mouth marketing it. Heck there is only one theater in the whole state i live in that is playing it, and there was lines out the door to see it. That tells you something there.

That's what is bestowed upon Melissa(Amy Smart)and her new husband Yul(some dude) as they go to Yul's homeland China for there honeymoon. After some partying they think that they are heading back to where Yul's relatives are but instead are unknowingly being left up for a sacrifice. Oh yeah should've told ya, on the full moon of the seventh lunar month the dead roam the land of China....i guess. To avoid becoming dead guy food, the locals offer up live animals to the deceased. They also need to leave a live human for the dead, and why leave a local when you have two fresh americans to give up?
In all seriousness, this movie is gripping from the get go(probably all the hand held camera)and really never lets up as you feel for these newlyweds lost in this strange land in the dark of night being chased by the dead, which are creepy as they come.
I gave Seventh Moon 4 outta 5 stars only because the hand held camera the whole time gets taxing on the eyes and the ending was a little lacking. All in all though, a nice little horror film that will make you cross China off your list of places to go.......ever.
Props to Ghosthouse Underground for actually making a decent horror flick. I know i haven't seen them all but usually this type of film is like a malnourished animal that never really got a chance. Good job Ghosthouse.

This movie was stellar. Everything you could want from a Halloween movie and then some. I loved it.
Trick r Treat is four interwoven stories revolving around different people who either do not believe in Halloween lor or are holding dark secrets from Halloween past or hiding dark secrets in the flesh....sort of.
How could i ruin this for you? sure i could tell you what happens in detail, but that would be unjust to what is sure to be an instant classic horror film. This will be one of those movies that you just have to watch around Halloween, along with another movie that comes out next week(Drag Me To Hell....frigging awesome!).
I just watched Trick r Treat and i want to watch it again! After watching my Twins win in dramatic fashion and then Sons of Anarchy(great show)and THEN Trick r Treat, i am a little spent though...
I give Trick r Treat 5 outta 5 stars because i was thoroughly impressed in what i witnessed. You will get your moneys worth unless you are a grump who wouldn't know a great movie if it slapped you in the face.
My only question is why did it take so long for WB to get this movie out?!?!?!? It clearly is great and i haven't heard a bad review, but for some reason they waited on this movie for what, like two-three years?? WB should be ashamed for letting this gem sit around for so long.

This movie was tiiiiiiiight
Not just because i think Ben Foster is a damn good actor and because the chick in the film is friggin beautiful, but because this film delivered on all levels and was very entertaining.
Pandorum is about Bower(Foster)as he awakens aboard this space ship and discovers that everyone is gone...till he finds Payton(Dennis Quaid)and wakes his ass up from hyper sleep. Soon they both realize that they are not alone on this ship and that a far more evil presence is with them. As Bower searches for the ships reactor to restart the ship, the horrible truth of what is happening unfolds and the remaining crew members must fight to survive not only the creatures, but the ship dying as well.
Sure there is more detail i could go into but why ruin a great film? I am not going to because i believe this film deserves your attention. What is there not to like about space ships and evil beings and a hot ass filthy chick who i couldn't keep my mind off of. yeah, she grew on me.
I gave Pandorum 5 outta 5 stars because i thought it was very enjoyable and very intense. The way everything plays out makes it a truly wonderful movie.

Then go see Sorority Row because it as them both by the basket full or whatever they say.
Sorority Row is about these sorority sisters whose prank attempt goes horribly wrong and one of their sisters ends up dead. Not wanting to ruin their lives before they graduate, the sisters decide to hide the body and swear never to say anything to anyone. Well, some say things and say things to people and eventually after they graduate the deaths begin...
now the sisters must struggle to survive from their terrible secret.
This movie really did not develop any characters so it was hard to care about them or care if they bit it, but it was chock full of college hotness and plenty of boobs and shower scenes which made it worth while to me! and any other warm blooded male......and some females.
I gave Sorority Row 3 outta 5 stars because even though the characters were underdeveloped(except for their boobs)and some scenes were very stereotypical, the film moved at a nice pace and was enjoyable to watch. plus it is set up for a sequel, yippie.
Another note...It was cool to see one of those MTV reality show chicks to get killed pretty nastily in a flick. I don't think that is sick to think seeing how they are all so full of them selves and just so fake in general.

I didn't think this film was as bad as everyone has reported.
Sure, there are a few scenes that are poorly shot. The camera is just to shaky and always jumping around for you to really see everything that is going on. Reminded me a lot of Transformers 2 in that way. Also I always liked how Myers was a silent killer who just killed effortlessly. In this film there were many times when he killed that he made a ton of noises while in the act...just seemed off to me.
Other then those points above i did enjoy this movie and Rob Zombie's take on the epic horror icon Micheal Myers. The ending did catch me off guard at first but after i thought about it i really dug it. A totally new vision to work with, though i think that a third installment would definitely be to much. Just end it with H2 and that would be fine to me.
I gave Halloween II 3 outta 5 stars for the points i said before. Otherwise i enjoyed myself and will continue to watch any movie Rob Zombie comes up with. Hopefully T-Rex comes out, that sounds cool.

If you live under a rock then you should know, Gamer is about tilsman aka kable(butler)who is a death row inmate and is competing for is freedom in a real-life video game called Slayers created by Castle(micheal c. hall). The inmates are controlled by these nanites in their brains that make it so the user(gamer)can control the the inmates movements. If you can make it through 30 battles then you receive your freedom...things are just never that easy though are they?
Gamer delivered on so many levels and the supporting cast was terrific. The action was top notch as Kable battles for is freedom from the selfish mastermind Castle.
If i had more money i would go see this movie again because i just loved it.
I gave this movie 5 outta 5 stars because i frigging enjoyed myself and all the actors did a great job...even ludacris delivers a good performance.
