note to editors of "Funny People"........take out about a half hour of stuff so this movie doesn't drag on as much as it did. thank you. sincerly, everybody.
don't get me wrong, this movie is pretty damn funny. what do you expect from judd apatow and the cast of this movie. plenty of friggin hilarious moments from Sandler and Rogen and that fat kid from super bad(haha mr.hill), plus all the cameos really help to make this movie watchable. for me it just seemed to draaaag, and draaaaaaag and then finally end.
starts out, sandler finds out that he might not have that much longer to live and gets hella depressed(duh)and starts going back doing stand up at little places. he comes across rogen one night and eventually thinks that rogen can help him with some jokes when really he just doesn't want to be alone while he slowly dies since sandler has pushed away all this real friends and family. sad really.
apatow's movies seem to be really funny and then have that moral undertone and theme to them. this has all that for sure, but it seems to lose it's luster after the first hour and a half and then just putters out to the end. really disappointed me when it ended, i looked at my watch and just shook my head.
i gave this movie 3 outta 5 stars really just for what the theme of my review here is.....this movie was to long. believe me though, this movie IS FUNNY, but i think you can wait to rent this one. you are not going to be behind the rest of us if you wait.

Starring Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson
Ok, this movie is good....but you will not believe me at first.
I say that because it takes about an hour plus for the movie to get better.
It's about these passengers that survive a plane crash and then Anne Hathaway is the grief counsler assigned to talk and get the passengers through this tragic incident.
There is one passenger though(Patrick Wilson) that has become "different" since the accident and Anne Hathaway is much intrigued by this. Not to mention the different stories she is getting from the passengers about what happened aboard the plane.
The twist I could see coming and I think you will too when you see what's happening throughout the film. It just takes seemingly forever to get there.
I was angry at first, but after the twist and the realization about what happened on the plane, I thought it was pretty good. I was happy that the film wrapped up everything that happened and gave everything a meaning and purpose that may take you a nights rest to understand but you will appreciate.
Hathaway is easy on the eyes and Wilson does well too. Really all the actors did a great job in this movie.
I give this 3 outta 5 stars just for the lame factor of the first half of the movie.
I would also say go ahead and check this movie out, just stay patient and you will be rewarded.

Dude, this movie was tight.
It's about this space man(Jim Caviezel whatever) that crash lands on earth in the time of the Vikings in Norway, but he is not alone. This crazy ass creature that uses light to draw in prey had came along for the ride and now was on Earth.
After encountering a group of Vikings and soon after encountering the beast, Kanein(Caviezel) and the Vikings must work together to kill the beast before it wipes out the entire village.
This movie was fun to watch and cool to see how the two sides (Vikings and the future technology) worked together to fight the beast(which is awesome to see, gnarly lights and just bad ass)
Caviezel does a fine job and so does the supporting cast. Ron Perlman I think deserved more screen time but what can ya do.
I give it 4 outta 5 stars. Take some time outta your schedule and check this movie out.

Judging from a trailer I saw I was under the impression that this movie was about a wicked ass looking clown that terrorized and killed a bunch of hotties in crazy ways.

seriously the cover looks cool, crazy looking clown so that is what you are prepped for.
The damn clown has one scene in the whole movie. I felt like they pulled the ol' bait and switch on me.
Plus the acting is sub-par at best and everything is so predictable that it's sickening.
If someone asks you to watch this or it comes across your netflix que or movie channels.....save yourself the agony and put on some cartoons or something. Or watch a good movie instead.
I gave this movie one out of five stars just because I love the black chick in this movie. She is the one from cloverfield and CSI, i think. Yep, one star for hotness.

What is up with this movie? I liked it but whoa...
It's hyped up to be a crazy ass blood fest(which it is) about this chair that when you sit in it you better kiss your ass goodbye because it's the devil's chair and you shouldn't have done that.
right.
starts out pretty good, the main guy talking to you about what happened and the gore is pretty sickening. So after thee initial contact with the chair the main guy goes insane and is put in the loony bin and then this doctor hears about his story and wants to study it more.
still with me?
so the doctor and his team of idiots take the loon back to the scene of the crime(oh yea, main guys girl friend dies in the chair, sorry.) and then what do you think happens?
hmm? yea one of the idiots sits in the chair and then this crazy chain of events happens.
really, the effects are nasty and gross and make you turn your face at times which is pretty good in my book.
then all the sudden....BAM! the twist hits and your left in a gaze at the screen trying to catch up to what happened.
I must say I didn't like it at first but after you think about for a day it kinda grew on me.
The twist works and the blood and gore is excellent.
If you like horror movies, and I know you do....

this is a weird one. by weird I mean a weird subject of course.
this is about a man who becomes a parapaligic (spelled wrong so what)when he gets into a car wreck when he was little. He works at a public radio staion and comes across a tip about a group of people who want to be like him....crippled.
f'd up right?
the tip comes from this chick who is fascinated by this and really wants it for herself and wants him to tell the story.
Or does she?
I don't want to give the twist away but it works out alright, so ya know.
this is a weird, erotic, suspenseful flick and the actors do a fine job.
If you come across this, give it a shot i say.
Just do not expect to be blown away.

Just saw this Friday night and I have to say, what is with these movies lately being just to long? really.
Although Public Enemies seemed to drag a tad, over all it was a good movie. Depp did a excellent job as Dillenger (minus the CGI face when he hops over the counter of the first bank job, come on.) and even though his role seemed sort of weak to me, Bale did a fine job as well. I thought that Dillenger's girlfriend in the movie ( I do not know her real name off the top of my head) Billy was great and deserved more face time then she received.
The action scenes and shoot outs were fun and you felt like you were right there (or maybe I was to close to the screen).
The bits of humor was nice and judging by the crowd they hit there marks spot on.
All in all I give Public Enemies 4/5 stars and would say go see it.
Also there is a lot of stars with small roles in this film, most notably Stephen Dorf which was a cool.
