Death's coming back for....blah blah blah
The only real reason i went to see this movie was for the crazy 3D deaths they come up with, and that is what i got. Plenty of over the top, everything has to fall in place set ups and sequences that ultimately doom the unlucky few who cheated death the first go around.
Now i really dig the concept that death is coming to finish you off, but these movies are too predictable. Add the predictability factor with all the scenes they gave away in the trailer and absurd amount a tv spots all over and there really wasn't much that surprised me. I think i laughed more than i was in shock or scared.
There are parts that are truly disgusting and scenes that make you not want to go swimming or go on escalators ever again, but besides those the rest of the deaths are to dumb or just so easily forth coming that it becomes comical.
I gave this movie 3 outta 5 stars because the 3D is always cool and some of the deaths were sick and sweet. To bad the fear factor in this fourth installment was almost non existent through out the film.
SEE THIS MOVIE IN 3D NOW OR WAIT TO RENT IT!!!!!!
TIE YOUR SHOES BEFORE YOU RIDE ESCALATORS!!!!!!!
Man, another movie that let me down.
Alien Raiders is about this group of self proclaimed heroes that go around the country hunting these aliens that have escaped a lab in Arizona. Low and behold they make their last stand in a grocery store in a small Arizona town. Looking like a simple robbery at first to the viewer, things soon turn as the robbers start checking the hostages to see if they are infected with the aliens....of course some of them are and are quickly killed. What our group of heroes don't see coming is that a king alien is at the store and now it is a fight for survival as the hero/robbers and the hostages must stop the king before he goes and infects the world......................meh.
This movie sounded cool, trailer looked cool, actors looked alright(dude from prison break is in it)and all that added up to was a waste of a good story and a overall crappy flick.
I gave Alien Raiders 2 outta 5 stars just because the beginning was good, then it just slumped to the end. what a waste.

Hopes were kinda high going in...then were shot down throughout the film.
Grace is the story of a couple who are going to have a baby soon but those plans are diced by a odd car accident that leaves the husband dead and the baby dead inside the womb. The wife is traumatized after the incident and decides to hold onto the baby through to the end, even though it is dead...or is it? She goes into labor finally and the baby comes out dead, but after some painful visuals and heartache the baby comes to life! a miracle it must be! no. not in this film. She names the baby Grace and takes her home, caring for her like any other normal child....but Grace is not any normal child, duh. Grace refuses to eat a normal diet for a newborn and after Grace painfully sucks the hell out of momma's breast and draws blood, momma soon comes to realize that Grace needs blood and momma is going to get it for her.
Sounds like a nasty, sick but cool premise for a film..but this movie just lost me after a bit. This is a horror movie right? didn't feel like it to me besides the bloodshed that eventually comes. There is to much time putz'n around without any scares for this movie to be much fun for long.
I gave this movie 2 outta 5 stars for the shear fact that the main chick(the momma) is hot and even though this movie lacked punch, a crazy blood feeding baby is a crazy cool idea...even if they messed the movie up.
SKIP THIS MOVIE UNLESS YOU ARE BORED AND NEED TO GO TO BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really hope today's kids do not end up like this...
This is the story of a couple(Jenny and Steven) in England who decide to go on a romantic weekend getaway at this remote lake where they believe that they will be all alone....right. At first the ideal trip for the couple seems to be going fine, but then a group of dangerous looking teenagers strolls in and plunks down near them by the lake. Right away these kids start making a ruckus with their loud techno like music and even their angry mutt who comes over a couple times and barks in the couple's faces. Finally Steven goes over and tries to talk to the kids to turn down their music and respect people around them, but the kids are unruly Steven just walks away as the kids mock and make fun of him. Steven and Jenny sleep in their tent by the lake overnight and in the morning they leave to go into town, when they backup their jeep they run over a bottle(that the kids were drinking)and blow a tire. Steven is furious and when he see's these kids on the street he tries to catch them unsuccessfully . After the couple returns to their tent and goes out for a swim, they return to discover that the kids have stolen their car, cell phones and wallets. Steven and Jenny start walking though the woods and finally find the kids and Steven confronts them and in the ensuing melee between Steven and the kids, the angry mutt from before jumps in and gets stabbed and dies......bad move Steven. Now the kids go ape sheeott and want to kill Steven and Jenny....really kill them.
I wrote a ton it seems and i could right more but i do not want to spoil it for you because this is definitely worth seeing some time.
I gave Eden Lake 4 outta 5 stars because it is very gory(which is great) and very suspenseful. Good flick.

You don't believe in ghosts? do you?
So is the question brought upon the main character in this movie after he inherits his aunt's old house. Though he never really knew his aunt, for some reason she left him the house when she passed and he really doesn't give a hoot because he just wants to sell it. As he first arrives at the home, he begins to here warnings from locals that something evil is in the house and that he should not stay there. Shrugging off these warnings being the SKEPTIC that he is, he stays in the house for the time being as he and his wife are having some time apart. Soon enough, the man begins to hear voices at night and eventually starts to see things that shouldn't be there...struggling to find logical meaning for what is happening the man slowly discovers the dark secret of the house and soon faces very real possibilities that once were impossible to believe.
This movie isn't that long, but it hits where it needs to and wraps itself up nicely. It is also not overly jammed full of shocks and boo's that typically ruin most horror movies. Just a very sound horror film that makes you question your own believes about the paranormal.
I gave The Skeptic 4 outta 5 stars. The story was fine but nothing ground breaking. A fine little horror movie.
