Another great acting job by Tom Hanks. The film wouldn't be that interesting except for the fact that it is based on a true story which is pretty cool. Don't believe the reviews because reviewers (such as the Just Seen It review) are biased and just going to give it a good review because it's based on a true story (remember Zero Dark Thirty? A bad movie that was horribly acted yet got a perfect score by these so called "professional" reviewers). While not terrible it left something to be desired. The only real exciting part was when people start to get sniped off which lasts for literally half a second. Don't expect much til then. 5/10
I think that it was good that I had this whole movie all wrong. I was thinking that it was supposed to be a serious family comedy. Instead of catching vandals during the night they are attempting to kill aliens. That's pretty different. A movie made for men. So women should skip this one. But I liked it otherwise. 6.5/10
A decent storyline inspired by actual events. I thought that this movie would have a lot more action scenes in it but it wasn't like that until the end. At the end the action scenes are pretty good. This seems more like a drama than anything. The Rock's acting while not horrible definitely left something to be desired. The Rock just can't pull off emotional scenes like a really good actor would. He shows little emotion that he tries to make up for by just yelling. Definitely didn't work for him. Nadine Velazquez will always be the stripper from My Name Is Earl. A decent flick to see but I wouldn't pay theater prices for it. 6/10
There are a few scenes where Jennifer Aniston is stripping but she shows nothing that you wouldn't see at the beach. Those have to be the worst strip clubs ever! Why would anyone pay to see women keep clothes on? The storyline and acting were alright but there weren't enough scenes to really keep you that interested. Emma Roberts looked really good in it so that was the best part of the film. Stream this one online for free or rent with a $1 from RedBox.
