The movie held my interest although it's almost 3 hours long. Many twists & surprises. Way too intense for kids. The evil & terrorist theme is almost too real.
This film is so over the top vulgar & suggestive that we walked out during the first 10 minutes. Yes, we knew Fockers wasn't going to be Pollyanna, but we also don't expect "in your face" , "beat us over the head" vulgarity. If producers & directors are struggling for content on the sequels, they should abandon the effort.
This movie left me nothing short of depressed on New Years Day. There is nothing uplifting that happens. The premise is lack luster. I didn't expect it to be funny, but I could have stayed home & listened to the news to get depressed.
The movie started off a bit slow for me, but came through in the end with great excitement & action. It's a pertinent film of our times, dealing, sadly, with issues many families face today. There are a couple of swear words, but mostly the film is clean. It's very good entertainment, go see it.
With all this "supposed" talent & experience on board, the movie was quite a disappointment. The idea was good, but they couldn't connect or pull it off. Why didn't these Hollywood stars say, "Hey, this isn't working"? My only conclusion is that their lives are so far off normal, they can't envision the good life.
