I really like the first two X-men movies. I thought that the third one was just okay. When I heard they were making a Wolverine spinoff, I was pumped. I recently saw it at a sneak preview, so here is my review for it.
It was good. Not great, but good. The problem I have with it is that it really isn't anything at all special or original-it's simply your average summer superhero flick, and it really doesn't bring anything at all new to the genre. After The Dark Knight last year, I thought that that might tell superhero directors to give their films a little more, shall we say, oomph. Apparently not.
Nevertheless, this wasn't at all a bad movie. Everything you could want from a fun, get out of the heat summer film is there. It has terrific action with great fx, some pretty good acting, and the ending is pretty awesome. It's becoming a trend for Marvel to put little minute-long clips after their movies' credits, so stick around for a little while.
This is not The Dark Knight. This is an average, but still very fun summer flick that will answer any questions you had about the first three movies. See this in the theater.
