This film is just amazing. It's definately not for those who can't handle a lot of gore and violence. It's quite a long movie but it's definately worth watching to the end. I've lost count of how many times I've seen it and I'm still not bored!
It's about 'rebel' children - basically any teenager now a days! It's definately a 'game' of luck/chance.
It's subtitled in various different languages, but like many other films the subtitles are really easy to keep up with.
4/5* - Brilliant.
It's definately a film for those who loves war movies. Some of the scenes are a bit graphic and probably not suited for those who are faint hearted. I have watched it a few times and would definately watch it again, it's not one you get bored of so to speak, but it does go on for quite a while. Nearing the end, the film just seems to drag on and the story line kind of dissapears and seems pointless really.
3/5* - Just because of the witty lines.
This film is definately worth watching! It contains a few disturbing/graphic scenes but nothing people couldn't handle. It really gives you an insight into where these diamonds come from and how far people will go to get them. If you're after an action packed film with a bit of 'reality' thrown in then it's definately worth a chance and in my opinion, Leonardo DiCaprio's attempt at a South African accent is definately worth hearing :)
4/5* - Great film!
This film is definately worth watching, especially if you have read the book with the same title, by Mark Bowden. If you like war movies then you will love this! It has many graphic scenes of combat but it also has a bit of comedy thrown in every now and then. It's a film that you could watch over and over again without getting bored. In the book, there are many characters in it that aren't mentioned in the film. Mark Bowden and Ridley Scott have explained that this is because there just wasn't enough time to have every single character play a seperate role and the film have the same effect. So instead, many of the characters are rolled into 1 so that they still get their story told. It is a brilliant film and will definately make even the grown men cry! Viewers and readers of the book need to be aware of the fact that it is only 'based' on a true story and not in any means identical. If you have read the book and/or read/heard the soldiers stories then you will know that it is not far off the truth and only the minor scenes like watching TV etc are fabricated.
4/5* - Simply because it could have been a bit more graphic - Definately in my favourites!
