I saw this movie twice in theatres. Compared to any impressions I had from reading the book, the acting was wonderful and captured the characters well. Great movie, great book.

The movie has no point! It was badly filmed, documentary style, as if the producers did not have enough money to make "real" film. Acting: mediocre, not as bad as the movie itself. The premature ending made everyone in the theatre angry. "I would rather have spent that money at McDonalds," "I could have bought a meal plan with that," "ARE YOU F*CKING SERIOUS?!" "We should have seen Alvin and the Chipmunks," are some of the comments that were made deliberately loud enough for everyone to hear. Major disappointment.
