With all of the rave reviews this movie had I expected something spectacular. Unfortunately I got an average movie. I am a history buff so plot premises like this interest me. First off I am not a Ben Affleck fan but this is one of his better acting roles that he has had. I have no problem with the acting that was done in the film but based on what it is about you would think that there would be many more suspenseful scenes in this film. The only one that I got intrigued with is towards the end after they get on the plane. Not a bad watch if it's cheap 5.5/10
I really don't even know what to say about this movie. I wanted to shut it off within the first 10 minutes but somehow ended up completing it. The only reason was because it was about marijuana and those kind of movies interest me. Out of the three main characters only the guy who plays Ben had any decent acting talent. The other two were so bad that I couldn't stand listening to them. The main girls narration was beyond belief bad! I can honestly say that I have never heard any worse narration in any other movie by a long shot! Watch it to see for yourself what I'm talking about. You'll see real quick. 3/10
This movie had some pretty good suspenseful scenes. The acting in this film was well done and believable. It kind of makes you think on if that situation were to actually happen. This movie makes you want to go out and be a train conductor. Why that would be the case considering this is about a train out of control I really don't know but it's an interesting concept. Unstoppable is a movie that the whole family can enjoy. 7/10
This movie wasn't horrible but it was far from good. Steve Carell did a good job like he always does. Wasn't a fan of the plot and the acting was just alright. Paul Rudd movies really are hit or miss. I don't think I've seen that great of one since 40 Year Old Virgin. This Is 40 was just a horrible film! Don't go out of your way to see this one. 5/10
The whole point of this movie was for this secret organization to lure the main Sharon/Heather whatever you want to call her back to Silent Hill. Well eventually they do and not a whole lot happens. Pretty boring flick that could have been made a lot better if it would have been made more like the Resident Evils (that's the video game Resident Evils not the movies because those sucked!). The best parts about it were that the main character was cute and Sean Bean was in it. Skip this because it's pretty lame. 4/10
After hearing some negative reviews about this movie I wasn't sure if it was worth watching. Now I'm glad that I did. This is the kind of character that Kevin James plays well. There isn't a whole lot of humor in it besides for in the beginning of his fights watching Kevin James get beat on for awhile. Worth a watch that most of the family will enjoy. 6.5/10
It's a shame that there were so many negatives with this movie and only one real positive. During the whole movie the cast is singing some of the greatest hits of the 80's. There are a lot of them and I enjoyed hearing the music of my youth. Unfortunately it is so poorly lip sung that it almost ruins the songs. The part that probably did ruin the song is that the songs aren't being sung by the bands that sang them but by the cast. They ruined so many great hits that it's hard to look past that! I was border line with the film until they totally and utterly destroyed Reo Speedwagon - Can't Fight This Feeling. Then at the end they butchered Journey - Don't Stop Believing. This movie was like High School Musical but with good songs. I miss the music but I am glad that the horrible singing in this movie is over! 4.5/10
From beginning to end this movie had no real purpose. A scout runs away from his troop and meets up with a girl and they run away together. Ummm okay?! Yeah not a very established plot through the whole movie. I'm surprised that Bruce Willis would sign on to be in a movie like this. Definitely not a movie that is gonna improve the acting careers of anyone in it. Skip this because it has no real meaning. I still don't understand how the title has anything to do with the movie. 3/10
I watched this movie for the simple fact that it was new. I hadn't heard any reviews about it neither positive or negative. Being a blank slate I gave it a shot and am satisfied that I did. With all the horrible movies that are coming out as of late it's nice to see that Hollywood isn't just pumping out sub-par films. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence both put on good performances. The storyline takes a little getting used to but in the end it comes together. It was nice seeing Chris Tucker again. I wasn't even sure if he was still acting. My one big negative is all of the talk about the Eagles. I'm a Packer fan and my brother-in-law is an Eagles fan so maybe you won't share my distain on that aspect. The ending of this movie was very predictable but for a movie like this that's pretty much a given. Overall a good film that you should watch. 6.5/10
This movie had its positives and negatives like every movie does. The colors were beautiful. It reminded me a lot of Avatar where he is in the jungle at night and all the colors illuminate the area. It was like that except many more scenes of this happening. Unfortunately the story is lacking a bit. It didn't keep me wondering if he would make it or not because you do see him in the beginning of the film to tell the story. The scene with the zebra and orangatang getting killed is something that I could have done without but atleast the tiger could feed on that instead of the boy. Some will enjoy this movie more than others. I would watch again just to see the beautifully colored world that is created throughout the film but I would skip through the movie to see those scenes because for me it didn't have much of a re-watch factor. 5/10
