It seems that people on here didn't like this movie. I would say that it was alright. The story lines were a little shaky and it did get irritating how he kept referring to his ability as a "curse". I figured that he would end up going to the black woman who lost her child and give her a reading. It was pretty messed up that he did not. That is pretty selfish considering what she had been through. It was worse that the version that I watched had no subtitles so I couldn't understand them when they spoke French.
I expected a little more out of this movie. I am alright with the fact that I watched it but there wasn't much to the movie. Not much of a concept to take a bible out west. If you haven't seen it then this is one of those movies where if you're religious then you will probably like it a little more but if you're not then you probably won't. It gets a 4/10 from me.
I can honestly say that it was not a very good movie. The movie never really goes anywhere. The only good thing about it was that it had a cute blonde girl in it. Otherwise it was a little bit of a snooze fest. It wasn't Charlie and the Chocolate Factory bad but I would say 4/10.
How anyone can actually say that this was an awesome or great movie I don't know. This definitely comes somewhere in the middle of the movie saga. The first two Batman movies were a lot better and more dark and sinister. Michael Keaton was a much better Batman and I like Jack Nicholson I thought was a better Joker by a slim margin. The main reason that people like this movie and the next one is because Heath Ledger died after making it! Not a good reason to make a movie more positive than what it really is. The best movie that Heath Ledger did was probably the Patriot. Now that's a great movie!
