I am biased toward dancing movies, I just love all of them, Dirty Dancing( the original and the sequel), Fame, Save the Last Dance, Step Up (and the sequel)just to mention a few. Center stage is in that group and extremely well done. I can't to see the sequel. The dancing numbers in this movie are phenomenol, the stories behind the dancers are excellent too. I watched this movie grinning the whole time. Just loved it.
The last movie I saw of his was The village and that was disappointing but the description of this movie intrigued me so I rented it. Like Sixth Sense and signs, this one was very well done. The premise of what was happening in the world didn't make much sense but it wasn't supposed to. The movie was about how people were dealing with something that didn't make sense and how and what they would do to survive. I enjoyed this movie, and thought it was very well done.
This was an excellent movie. The description on the DVD cover leads you to think its' a porn movie but it isn't at all. It has a few sexy scenes in it but its' ultimately a story of both filmmakers ( college students) and what they go through to complete an assignment which ends up earning them an award in the porn movie industry, similar to an oscar for regular films. It was funny, I found myself laughing at several spots, poignant, and cute. It also told a good story and just plain enjoyable.
Well the movie jacket says its a comedy. Its' a drama and its' depressing. This movie thinks its' funny and its' not. Its' cliche, sad, and the whole time I was watching it, all I was thinking was when will it be over, I am hating this moive, but still watched through to the end. I have to admit, I did like the ending but all the time it took to get there and how the movie got there was just disappointing and sad. NOt worth the rental.
