The movie twelve is about a drug, which is called twelve. White Mike is a dealer, who sells this drug. The movie takes place in New York. The teenagers with are living there are always on parties and have many money to blow. The most important characters in the movie are White Mike, Molly, Jessica, Lionel, Sarah and Claude. Sarah is a girl, which wants to be famous, so she plans a party. Her only problem is that she needs a location, where she can invite many people. So she asks Chris for having the party at his house, when the parents are not there. When Mike gets to know that his cousin Charlie got killed, he runs to the house of Chris, where the party is. There he sees Lionel, another dealer, with the gun of Charlie. That is the reason why White Mike thinks that Lionel killed Charlie and he gets very angry. Then everything happens very fast. Claude, the brother of Chris, shuts down many people. When the police arrive Claude also gets killed. So at the end of the movie many people are death. Now I want to explain why I like the movie or not.

Firs I think that the director made a good job because he choose the most important scenes and good cinematic devices to underline the happening. He focused on the most important thinks. He shows good the drug and its effect. He underlines the drug frenzy by showing the scene very fast and loud. While this the camera is wobbling. An example for this is, when Jessica takes drugs and runs throw the room and then laughs while she lies on her bed.

The next point is that he shows the relationship between the parents and their children. The parents pay much money for the schools of their children. They do not know many about their children and let them often alone and do not often talk to them. The relationship between the parents and the children is very bad. In the movie this is shown in different scenes. I want to explain this by one example. When Jessica do not have enough money to buy some drugs she goes to her mother and asks for some money. That is the only reason why she talks to her mum. But the mother is not interested in the problems of her daughter and just tells her to go to a shrink. That shows that the mother wants other people to care about her daughter. So I think that the director supports the relationship good by this scene and the others.

Another point that I want to mention is the end of the movie. I thing the way like it is presented is good and also that you expect this end because the scenes before foreshadow this. But I do not like the end of the story because so many people get killed. And at the end are so many people death. Some of them get killed at the party and some like Charlie before. But on the other hand that shows the problems, which are associated with drugs.

So all in all I like the movie because of the way the theme is presented and the effects that underline this. The theme drugs is interesting and shown good. I think the movie describes the story of the book very good and does not chance too much. The end gets expected because other scenes foreshadow the violence of Claude. Also the end is presented well, although so many people die.
