This movie was an amazing and inspirational film. AnnaSophia Robb really submerged herself into her part and provided hope to disabled peoples everywhere. She showed that even with a disability the combination of passion and perseverance will always lead to victory in the end. This movie was refreshing in comparison to all of the comedies and action movies. Although those types of movies are good, a movie that instills hope into the young, middle-aged, and elderly will never go unappreciated. This was a great movie and I can't wait to see what AnnaSophia Robb and Sean McNamara bring to the table next.
First I will start with the positive. This film contained some quite funny material and had several witty banters between characters. However, on the negative side this film was a cliché in comparison to all romantic comedies and was highly predictable. I am a Russell Brand fan, however this was not him at his best.
As a critic it is my job to criticize the finer points of a movie however, in this instance i can do no such thing. This entire movie was a non-stop concoction of hilarious joke and visuals. I loved it and am anxious yet optimistic, and can't wait to see what the cast brings to the table in the sequel.
This movie was brilliant. It was like a house. It started off with a foundation of cement...a brilliant actor. Then it built upon itself with brilliant writing. Then when mixed together it created a visual and mental portrait that satisfied yet flustered the mind of the viewer. However, in every house there is always something unfinished or that needs work and the writers understood this by leaving a subtle yet brilliant cliff hanger. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to see what Leonardo does next.
This movie was highly horrific and a blemish on the face of Hollywood and the entire film industry. Although containing a decent plot and several very intelligent and well known actors this movie disgusted me and a lot of my fellow critic community. An elephant in the movie was seen repeatedly stabbed and tortured by the ring master and provided an image to the viewers of pure hatred and cruelty. As a critic I feel morally obligated to stress that although it may look like a romantic love story, it is an abomination and you should not under any circumstance endure the painful visual that I did.
