This was a really funny movie! But, it is rated “R†for a reason. There is a lot of gore (substantial gore) and violence in the movie. But, the nice thing is that it really wasn’t scary. This is good for people who are interested in seeing a true comedy. I personally really like zombie movies. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like a comedy based on this theme, but it was great. I really liked how they showed people dying in various ways because they didn’t follow Columbus’s survival rules. The movie was good, just no where near as good as The Da Vinci Code. The acting was top notch (especially from Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor) and the action was good. This movie certainly had more action than in the first movie, but I enjoyed The Da Vinci Code more because it is refreshing to have a movie captivate you with mysteries and plot development rather than pure violence and action. I liked the concept behind this movie. I’m a sucker for unusual plots. The acting was pretty good. Some of the action scenes were good as well. The main action came from the Movers - throwing people around, deflecting bullets, destroying buildings, firing guns while not holding them, etc. I liked Cassie - she played the role of a child forced to be a grown-up very well. She had some funny parts. There are certainly some things I didn’t care for. Check out my full review at the URL below.
