Do not let the creators of Avatar dupe us. What a load of horse sh**. They release a movie only to re-release a short time later with new scenes and now in "3D".

Seriously, if the scenes are good enough to show us now then why not show them to us in the first place? The 3D aspect, why not release it in 3D when it first came out.

It's about sucking as many $$$ from your wallet as possible and anyone that walks into the theatres to see it in reaffirming that the general public will swallow anything given to them as long as it is packaged well.

This movie proves that we as a nation are a bunch of ignorant, gullible, attention starved morons.

Can anything good ever come from the USA again when our average population is one step away from licking windows on the short bus?

How many times are we going to be bombarded with incoherant movie plots that use overrated actors and actresses who have no business in front of a camera.

The movie makes no sense what so every and the inclusion of Sandra Bullock should be the first indicator that you have to be pratically brain dead to find it interesting. Sandra... Find a job you are qualified for, McDonalds is hiring.

Jeesh

Perspectives

What a great movie, but it is a theatrical production mind you. There is no denying that such barbaric actions take place and from the perspective of those of us living in western culture it is reprehensible. Consider how barbaric the U.S. must look to a country like Denmark who abolished the death penalty more than 50 years ago.

But I disagree with the undertone of a lot of the reviews here. This isn't a movie that defines violence against women or even that there is more injustice for woment than man. The movie is an eye opening, dramatic production based up an aspect of a culture we believe to be upside down. This is a movie that shows no matter the culture, there will be evil people that attempt to manipulate the system to satisfy their own lust, greed, fears and anger. In turn their victims will receive unjust punishment. Injustice is injustice and to the victim who screams for the truth to be believed the emotions and pain will be the same. Sadly when one person judges another mistakes are bound to be made, simply because we are human.

Ultimately this is a movie about how one sick s.o.b. in another country tried to use the system to get rid of his wife and that poor woman's fight. Inhumanity has and will always exist, so don't make the movie out to be some great revealing documentary, this is old news.
