Fans of the books may be dishearted by the numerous differences the film has, but all viewers should be satisfied by its heavenly visuals, charming characters and enchanting style. The traditional 'good versus evil' plot didn't really disappoint; it was the rushed and vague style in which it was told. If the story were presented in a more involved, engaging manner, this film would have been a definite contender for Animated Film of the Year. Despite all of this, it would be unwise to say the film's staff was not dedicated in creating a magical spectacle-although it would be safe to say that they were most likely rushed for a decently written script. I personally give the film a 3.5.
